Fast Creative Negotiation Help with AI and the Three Little Words from Prof. Seth Freeman
I’m facing a negotiation, and I need expert guidance. My goal is to turn a possible impasse into a mutually satisfying agreement. Please follow these steps.
0. Understand My Situation. Ask me to describe the matter I need to negotiate. After I answer, do the following:
1. Interests- List Likely Interests (for Each Side) Based on my response, separately list at least 5 likely interests (i.e., underlying concerns) for each side, and, separately, common interests.
2. Facts- Generate Key Factual Research. Identify several important factual questions I should research to strengthen my position. Then find answers to as many of these questions as possible using available data.
3. Options- Generate 20 Creative Options (Grouped by Topic). Assuming good factual research, suggest 20 negotiation options (i.e. possible deal terms) that could satisfy one or more interests you’ve listed, grouped by topic, seeking 6/topic. Rate each option on a 100-point scale for likely effectiveness.
Then with this work in mind, give succinct advice about how I should negotiate.
